I was the administrator for a large commercial building project in Zapata, TX. The scope of the work was to remediate the insides of two identical elementary schools due to a bat infestation, and to rework the seam between the outside walls and the roof to prevent further infestation. One of the elements of the job was to replace approximately 10,000 lineal feet of commercial gutters, downspouts, and rake trim. The plans for the project included replacing the existing gutters with identical ones from the same manufacturer. We had 86 days to complete the entire project. Just before we were set to order materials, our guttering subcontractor pulled out of the project. In addition, we contacted the original manufacturers of the materials and the existing gutters were out of production in terms of the bend of the gutter and the color of the materials. All of the gutters and rake trim would have had to have been specially ordered and produced at a much higher cost. At that time, we were four weeks from the date of Substantial Completion with no materials and no subcontractor.

I found Aaron’s online and called Frank Sklencar, the owner. The jobsite is located approximately 200 miles from San Antonio and Frank showed up the next day. Aaron’s was able to find a sister company to the original manufacturer, identify a matching color in their inventory, and suggest an alternate gutter profile that worked as well as the original. The benefit was that the supplier could produce and deliver materials immediately in a matching color. When the materials arrived, Frank had his crews locally housed and in place. Aaron’s was able to fabricate and install approximately 10,000 lineal feet of gutter, downspouts, and rake trim on site and completed the installation in 17 days, start to finish.

As in every project of that size, there were small issues to be handled after the Architect’s inspection. Aaron’s came back to the jobsite the day following the inspection and took care of everything.

Without Aaron’s professionalism and can-do attitude we would not have finished this project on time. Resulting delays would have cost the company thousands of dollars in liquidated damages. We highly recommend Aaron’s services to any prospective customers.
